{RECIPE} No Bake Crispy Coconut Dog Treats

1-2 tbsp peanut butter
1-2 tbsp carob drops
2 heaping spoonfuls of virgin coconut oil (approximately 1/4 cup when warmed to liquid)
1/3 cup coconut
2/3 cup rice bubble cereal (unsweetened)

Melt together peanut butter, carob, and coconut oil. Gently stir through wheat germ and coconut, then the rice bubbles to form a very loose mixture. Press into a muffin pan. Refrigerate for 15 minutes, remove from the pan, and spoil your pup! These volumes will make approximately 6 crispy crunchy little mini-muffins (which may also be can be cut into halves or quarters for smaller dog treats) and extras keep nicely in the fridge.

Tips and Tricks:
  • This is a quick and handy recipe for using up leftover peanut butter and carob dipping mix from other treat recipes.
  • These treats set quite solid, so it can be handy to use a flexible muffin pan so you can easily pop them out or paper liners (remove before serving) to avoid having to pry them out.
